The Burrito Company is a downtown, family-owned institution that has served generations of locals for over 45 years with a trusted, affordable New Mexican meal.

Today, the Burrito Company is operated by the 2nd generation of founder Kimo Castro’s family, all of them raised working in the family business. We strive to maintain the restaurant's local familiarity and authentic recipes that have been passed down for decades. In March 2025, while continuing 45+ years of traditional breakfasts and lunches, the family proudly introduced a new dinner concept to celebrate some of Santa Fe's most remembered dishes from another Santa Fe institution, “Mucho Gusto.” Distinguished chef Alex Castro—former owner/chef of Mucho Gusto and prior chef of both Older Mexico Grill and Tomasitas—showcases his most memorable dishes for full-service dinner and bar every Thursday through Saturday from 5–8 PM.

The Burrito Company is a place to experience some of Santa Fe's most celebrated flavors of traditional New Mexican breakfast, lunch, or our collaborative "De Noche" dinner. Come rub shoulders with the city's most diverse clientele of locals and visitors alike, and take in the buzz along Washington and Palace Avenues!
