At Capital Coal Neighborhood Eatery, Chef Dakota Weiss and Rich Becker have created a micro food hall where you can explore a diverse range of culinary delights and ever-evolving flavors, meticulously curated to cater to a variety of palates.

Southern California-born and Santa Fe-raised, Chef Weiss had a love for cooking at an early age. After culinary training in Scottsdale, she began her career at Coyote Café and then worked at some of the finest restaurants in the country. Gaining national visibility of TV shows such as “Top Chef,” “Star Plates,” and “Food Fetish,” she launched Sweetfin, her first Poke concept restaurant, in Santa Monica, CA in 2015, with rave reviews and lines out the door. Its popularity spawned 15 Sweetfins. Furthering her knowledge in Japanese cuisine, Chef Dakota served as a judge on the new competition show for Roku channel “Morimoto’s Sushi Master” with Chef Morimoto, sparking her interest in the marriage of French and Japanese cuisine.

Chef Weiss’s culinary mastery is reflected in both the informal ambience of Capital Coal Neighborhood Eatery and at the renowned Coyote Café, where she has returned as Executive Chef.
