Located just two blocks from Meow Wolf, Wild Leaven Bakery is a family-friendly, community-oriented eatery where locals and tourists alike delight in a yummy meal or a quick bite. Off the main road, guests can relax and indulge their senses in our cozy shop or on our sunny patio for breakfast, lunch, or brunch. 

At Wild Leaven Bakery, we handcraft small batches of all our offerings: long-fermented sourdough breads, French-style pastries, comforting soups, and delicious sandwich melts. All our sourdough breads are vegan except our Challah, which is available on Fridays. We use organic and local whole grains in all of them. Our beverage list includes our housemade chai, fermented drinks, and locally crafted coffee and tea. 

Since 2012, Wild Leaven Bakery has been committed to sourcing high-quality ingredients from local and organic farmers and producers to create nutritious, healthy food items. Owner Chef André Kempton purchases fresh produce and fruits from the Santa Fe and Taos Farmers’ markets throughout the year. Depending on the items being crafted, our kitchen crew uses organic extra-virgin oil, organic coconut oil, or organic butter. Our farm-to-bakery food production enables us to contribute positively to a strong local economy, with the continued support from our valued customers.

Whether you have a sweet or savory tooth, we have you covered with our multicultural menu. On Saturdays, stop by our shop for our pastry special of the week. During the holiday season, treat yourself and your loved one to our Stollen, our German Christmas sourdough bread.
